change in which one can believe

Recently while at work, I overheard a local news station make reference to a website calling for the economic boycott of the bayou city.
The primary reasoning behind said boycott was twofold;

* Houston has recently become the first city with an openly gay mayor
* Houston is soon to be home to the largest abortion clinic in the United States

Me being me, I immediately set a course for the website in question. Those who know me will tell you that if it is knee-jerk, reactionary, and rebellious, it will no doubt be of interest to me - blame it on my punk rock pedigree, perhaps.
Truth be told, I expected to come away from a such a movement inspired to join the charge against the Sodom of the third coast. Truth be told again, I came away with only half of that statement.
Inspired.
Maybe it was the style of writing, or maybe it was the fact that I make my living in tourism. Or maybe it was because the author lives in Amarillo. Either way, I just could not agree with the position of boycotting Houston.
Whilst I admire the zealotry of calling for a boycott of the fourth largest city in the nation, one must question the efficacy of said endeavor. And while I may not be a bible scholar, I do not recall ever seeing a boycott in scripture.
But I have certainly seen intercessory prayer.

So here we are.

Pray for Houston.

I would love to see your specific prayers posted as comments.
